CDI E-Learning Academy courses are provided by Chellaram Diabetes Institute (CDI). These Terms of Use govern your use of CDI E-Learning Academy website. Please read these terms carefully, and contact us if you have any questions. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Using CDI E-Learning Academy
When you create your CDI E-Learning Academy account, you must provide us with complete and accurate information. You agree to absolve CDI E-Learning Academy of any liability in case it is found that any information submitted by you is false. You also agree that you will create and use only one user account, and you will not share with any third party access to or access information of your account.
Our Courses
The online courses offered by CDI E-Learning Academy are not recognized medical qualifications, under Section 11(1) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. CDI E-Learning Academy hereby declares that it is not a Medical College or University, and these courses are not offered under the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act / University Grants Commission Act. Please note that the courses are not degrees, but only certificate courses prepared with the objective of training doctors. Participants are strongly advised not to affix the course credentials adjacent to their names or on their boards/display. CDI E-Learning Academy reserves the right to cancel, interrupt, or reschedule any course or to modify any course content, any assignment, quiz, or other assessment.
Security
While we work to protect the security of your account and related information, CDI E-Learning Academy cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security measures. Please notify us immediately of any compromise or unauthorized use of your account.
Third Party Content
Through the CDI E-Learning Academy, you may in the future be able to access and/or use content provided by instructors, other users, and/or other third parties and links to websites and services maintained by third parties. CDI E-Learning Academy cannot guarantee that such third party content will be free of material you may find objectionable or otherwise inappropriate or of malware or other contaminants that may harm your computer, mobile device, or any files therein. CDI E-Learning Academy disclaims any responsibility or liability related to your access or use of such third party content.
Copyright
All the course content on the CDI E-Learning Academy is the intellectual property of CDI. Users are expected to respect these intellectual property rights while doing the courses. Any unauthorized copying or use of the course content shall be considered as a violation of the intellectual property rights of CDI.
Paid Services
CDI E-Learning Academy offers courses providing certificates for a fee. You are responsible for paying all fees and applicable taxes in a timely manner. No refund is allowable, if you discontinue the course at any point after enrolment. CDI E-Learning Academy reserves the right to change any fees at any time at its sole discretion.
Modifying and Terminating our Services
We are constantly changing and improving our services. We may add or remove functions, features, or requirements, and we may suspend or discontinue a course altogether. Accordingly, CDI E-Learning Academy may terminate your use of any course for any reason.
Education Research
CDI E-Learning Academy is committed to advancing the science of learning and teaching, and records of your participation in courses may be used for education research. Research findings will typically be reported at the aggregate level. Your personal identity will not be publicly disclosed without your express consent.
Disclaimers
The CDI E-Learning Academy disclaims any and all liability related to your access or use of the course or any related content. You acknowledge and agree that any access to or use of the course or such content is at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the CDI E-Learning Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the services; or (b) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your content or information.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the CDI E-Learning Academy from any and all claims, liabilities, expenses, and damages, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, made by any third party related to: (a) your use or attempted use of the courses in violation of these terms; (b) your violation of any law or rights of any third party; or (c) user content, including without limitation any claim of infringement or misappropriation of intellectual property or other proprietary rights.
Revisions to the Terms
We reserve the right to revise the terms at our sole discretion at any time. Any revisions to the terms will be effective immediately upon posting by us. In all cases, your continued use of the services after publication of such changes, with or without notification, constitutes binding acceptance of the revised terms.
Terms for Acceptable Use
You are not allowed to:
- Do anything that violates local, state, national or international law or breaches any of your contractual obligations or fiduciary duties.
- Share your password, let anyone access your account, or do anything that might put your account at risk.
- Attempt to access any other user’s account.
- Reproduce, transfer, sell, resell, or otherwise misuse any content from our Services, unless specifically authorized to do so.
- Impersonate or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
Code of Conduct
All users must agree to abide by the following code of conduct:
- I will register for only one account.
- My answers to homework, quizzes, exams, projects, and other assignments will be my own work (except for assignments that explicitly permit collaboration).
- I will not make solutions to homework, quizzes, exams, projects, and other assignments available to anyone else (except to the extent an assignment explicitly permits sharing solutions). This includes both solutions written by me, as well as any solutions provided by the course staff or others.
- I will not engage in any other activities that will dishonestly improve my results or dishonestly improve or hurt the results of others.
Pricing & Payment
CDI E-Learning Academy works with third-party payment processing to offer convenient and secure payment methods. We take payments in various currencies, but the student will be liable to pay the conversion charges, including the tax (the access would be given only after successful payment confirmation).
Exam Policy & Certificates
All the courses that we provide have online assessments, and candidates have to ensure to complete them within the course duration and with a minimum of 50%.
The pattern of the assessments is through MCQs.
Every student will get a total of 3 attempts for the final assessments, and there is no number of attempts for the module assessments
CDI E-Learning Academy shall not provide the physical copy of the certificate at the end of the course. A high-resolution version of the certificate can be downloaded from the LMS by the student.
Refund Policy
Since the Website offers non-tangible, irrevocable goods we do not provide refunds after the course access is given with login credentials, which you acknowledge prior to purchasing any course on the Website.
